Since I got my salary yesterday, my brothers were asking me to treat them. Amari wanted to eat pasta while my brothers were requesting to buy pizza. I told my mom about it and she said that it will cost a lot if we buy them ready to eat. She told me to just give her the money and let her take care of the budget and to prepare of the food we all wanted to eat. Mom Chloe waited for Andrea to come home from school and off they went to the nearby mall to buy groceries and ingredients for our little family feast. It’s one of mom and Dee’s bonding moments, shopping. They don’t have the luxury of shopping for clothes, apparel, accessories or whatever that has something to with fashion, but they love shopping for food which has something to do with their passion for cooking. Abuela Anna used to go with them, but she has chosen to stay at home because she was writing Christmas greeting, cards, and letters to all her friends and other relatives.

Mom and Dee shopped for all the necessary ingredients, cooked and baked, and made our favorite cheesy, and white sauce pizza! My brothers were so excited when they got home, they helped in preparing the drinks, while Amari was helping Abuela with some chores. Dad came home early and we all had dinner together, great food, while watching TV. For me, bonding with my family is one of the best luxuries in the world beyond compare. We all love pizza and pasta, most especially when it’s home made and it’s my mom who cooks it! Less expenses, you get to eat more, and yummier than commercial made ones.
